Telling it like it is doesn’t mean being a toxic prick.

Sure, we love pointing out the BS in our collective behavior. Hell, we’re doing it too and embracing the collective mental drain. We just like to take a step back, look in the mirror, and have an honest talk with ourselves.

Free will is a beautiful thing. We are all free to do what we want, when we want, and how we want. We are also free to like what we like—and call out what we don’t.

However we choose to play it, fundamental decency is non-negotiable. Calling out certain types of behavior doesn’t mean insulting. It doesn’t mean targeting, and it never means hate.

Most importantly, having an opinion isn’t a license to be hideous to anyone who doesn’t look, live, or think like us.

As Tupac put it, only God can judge us. And last time we checked, none of us are God.

What Are You Bringing to the Table?

Right shoes, right bag, right house, right views.

Shame none of them actually sit right on us.

And unfortunately, some of these so-called "right" things leave us feeling very wrong.

The race to be sanitised Pantone perfect beige is on. We’re all clutching our race bibs and the struggle is embarrassingly real.

The worst shade: Brings-Nothing-Beige. No thoughts, no vibes, no energy, no critique and no point of view. And wonderfully—no actual being required.

Hollow following is cheap. Passive consensus is tacky. Freeriding borrowed opinions is passé.

That game is old and done. If you have nothing to bring to the table, don’t come to the party.

Questioning absolutely everything and asking “What do I bring to the table? And what does everyone else bring to the table?”

It’s not a challenge but it is a desperate need we have to think, to assess, to learn.

No matter what we’ve been fed, praising emptiness for merely existing has never been and will never be enough.

There is a price to be paid for all that noise. We’re paying it daily.

We want more. We need more.

But we’re not standing on a mountaintop pretending to have achieved enlightenment.
We haven’t.

We’re inside and part of the mess too.

Come sit with us.
Be present. Add something . Be whatever.
